Why I Created Grit Sports
What started as a search for answers quickly became a realization: too many athletes and families were being asked to navigate an increasingly complex recruiting process without clear guidance or support.
It Wasn't Just Our Family
As I spent more time learning about the recruiting process, I realized many families were facing the same challenges. Finding trustworthy information was difficult. The rules and timelines seemed to be constantly changing. Important decisions often had to be made with limited guidance and little confidence that we were taking the right steps.
At the same time, the recruiting landscape itself was becoming more complicated. Transfer portal activity, roster limitations, shifting timelines, and increased competition were creating new challenges for athletes and families trying to navigate the journey.
I kept coming back to the same question:
Why is it so hard to find clear, practical guidance to help my son pursue his dream of playing baseball at the collegiate level?

Our goal isn't to promise shortcuts or guarantee outcomes. Instead, we focus on helping families better understand the recruiting process, make informed decisions, and take meaningful action throughout the journey.

Built By A Parent Who Lived It
I'm Michele Konetski
My son started the recruiting process for college baseball, and he and I were both overwhelmed. Even with my background in technology and strategy, I struggled to make sense of the fragmented advice, missed timelines, and conflicting opinions. It wasn't just difficult—it was emotionally exhausting.
That experience became my "why."
Since then, I've created Grit Sports to give families what we didn't have: one trusted place with a clearer path through the recruiting process.
